RISD signed a contract with Netherlands Embassy

April, 2012. Rwanda Initiative for Sustainable Development signed a contract with the Embassy of Netherlands to implement a three year project on “Civil Society Contribution to the effectiveness of Rwanda Land Reform.” The project will be implemented in 48 Sectors selected from 10 Districts representative of all Provinces in Rwanda. Directly, about 1920 Local leaders at Sector level will benefit from this project while indirectly the project will reach out to a population of 2810308 million in the 10 Districts. It aims at contributing to the effectiveness of the Rwanda Land Reform implementation process towards Poverty Reduction and Sustainable Peace. RISD will implement this Project in partnership with CLADHO (Collectif des ligues et associations de défense des droits de l’homme) which refers to a Rwandan Collection of Leagues and Associations for the Defense of Human Rights (National Umbrella of Human Rights Civil Society Organizations in Rwanda). This project will be implemented under contribution of the Netherlands Embassy, ICCO (Inter-church Organisation for International Development – Dutch organisation) and GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit – German Development Cooperation).
