This workshop brought together over 80 participants from 18 countries from within and outside Africa to discuss African Union land policy guidelines which was adopted, by Heads of States in July last year in Sirte, Libya.

With a theme: “Concerted efforts to implementing the Africa Land Policy Framework and Guidelines: A Civil Society Organisations’ (CSOs) advocacy roadmap,”. the workshop’s main goal was to ensure that national land policies reflect the needs for human rights, equity and sustainable livelihoods.

The workshop aimed to share in advance the ALPFG with ILC members and partners to strengthen their involvement in preparations for the implementation phase. The workshop served to strengthen IGO-CSO collaboration to influence national land policies and implementation based upon the ALPFG framework.
